Events in Chester From 1st June – 7th June 2026

Looking for events in Chester this week? You can find a mix of evening options, with live music and social events taking place at venues around the city centre and Northgate. This week, several gatherings focus on music and connection, featuring both emerging and established performers. The venues include spaces near the Rows and along key streets, with events happening in the evenings. Check for available transport options: the M53 and M56 motorways serve the area, and Chester General Station and Chester Northgate Station provide rail access. River Dee cruises offer a different view of the city, while guided open-air bus tours cover the main routes. nIf you're planning to walk, be aware of traffic congestion, particularly around the Rows, and parking shortages in central areas. You might find it easier to use the bus network. The city walls, remnants of Roman 'Deva Victrix' and Chester's medieval past, give a historic backdrop to an evening stroll. See listings below for times and locations, and plan your visit accordingly. A short drive away, the River Dee offers leisure cruises if the weather permits.
