Events in Chester From 18th May – 24th May 2026

You can find a varied programme of events and things to do in Chester this week, offering entertainment across different styles. Live music, comedy, and cultural experiences are happening throughout the city. Check out film screenings at independent venues or lively music from spots near the River Dee. Quiz nights are taking place in pubs around Watergate Street, and you’ll also find relaxed evening events and opportunities to hear emerging artists. The schedule includes rhythm-driven music and creative expression, with options close to the historic Rows. The city’s compact size means you can move between places easily, though traffic congestion can affect travel by car, especially during peak times. Parking is available in several locations, but it can be limited during busy events. The M53 and A55 provide access, and you can reach most spots in the city centre with a short walk or a quick drive.
